Production Associate II

Position Title: Production Associate II
Department: Contract Manufacturing Services Production
Reports to: Shift Supervisor

Position Summary

Set up, run, and QC parts using CMS equipment assuring maximum safety, efficiency, and conformance to customer specifications.

Primary Responsibilities

Program and operate most equipment in CMS’s division.  Involves higher-level programming such as subroutines.  Specific responsibilities are as follows:

  1. Set up beam delivery, start-up and set laser, and make and set up job tooling.
  2. Write and debug parts programs using CNC programming.
  3. Edit CNC and/or AcuBeam programs.
  4. Quality check the first part to assure that it meets print.
  5. Run and check production parts to maintain customer-required quality.
  6. Document jobs so they can efficiently be rerun. This includes storing programs on a PC, program printouts, process data sheets (lasers used, feed rate assist gas, etc.), and completing special procedures.
  7. Fill out maintenance requests as needed.
  8. Clean protective windows and lenses’ on select systems.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1-3 years of technical experience.
  • 1-3 years of industrial experience.
  • Programming and computer knowledge. Understands basic troubleshooting and software settings (AcuBeam, Adept, AcuNav, etc.).
  • Strong multitasking skills and can efficiently run more than one system.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical school graduate in a related field or equivalent training.
  • Forklift certified.
  • MicroVu Level II certified.

Physical Demands

  • Standing for long periods of time (frequent stooping, bending, climbing, and crawling. 
  • Must have good eyesight and be able to distinguish colors. 
  • Lifting up-to 50 pounds.
  • Sitting and working on a computer for 6-8 hours at a time.

Education

Hiring Wage

$21 - $25 / hr
Plus $5 / hr shift differential

Overtime is available but not guaranteed
