Position Title: Administrative Assistant

Reports to: Director of Human Resources

Position Summary

The Administrative Assistant is a part-time, seasonal position whose responsibilities are to assist the Human Resources department with routine administrative duties. They will perform general office support functions. They will aid in maintaining organization and overall compliance with the department’s requirements. 

Job Responsibilities

  1. Greet visitors and customers then assist them with their inquiries.
  2. Answer phones brightly and promptly.  Aid the caller to their destination.
  3. File documents into employee files or other corresponding files.
  4. Create, organize, and assemble orientation and safety binders for employee onboarding.
  5. Manage the intake and output of mail. Process as instructed and notify recipients of pick up.
  6. Support the HR team in preparations and errands pertaining to company luncheons and employee appreciation activities.
  7. Create and post monthly birthday and anniversary posters.
  8. Management of safety glasses from HR; cleaning, labeling, and re-administration.
  9. Various other duties as directed by supervisor.

Job Requirements

  • Comprehension and execution of task organization.
  • Previous office and/or customer service experience.
  • Required to uphold a strict code of confidentiality.

Physical Demands

  • Working in an office environment.
  • Sitting and/or standing for long periods of time (2-4 hours before a rest or change).
  • Occasional squatting, kneeling, twisting, rotating.
  • Excellent eyesight and hearing.
  • Constant hand use, grasping, and fine manipulation throughout the day.
  • Lift 40 pounds comfortably.
  • Lifting 51+ pounds sporadically throughout the day and may be done with assistance.
